Way to become a cool skier – I’ve decided to write this article after observing the same mistakes throughout the training process of adult skiers and junior athletes.
The most important mistake of both of groups is the athletic ski stance or the position of athletic dynamic balance. This article is about this particular mistake, and about all the other mistakes that arise from it.
The athletic ski stance or dynamic balance of the skier is the most important component in skiing. What do I mean by athletic ski stance? In the correct stance, arms are slightly bent at the elbows, and extended forward and to the sides – about the same as on the handlebars of a bicycle! With a brief glance down you should be able to see the hands! The legs are parallel to each other, slightly bent at the ankles and knees.
